The ATE 2014 is over, but CAVE, the Collision Awareness System, that helps drivers "looking around the corner", will stay in the minds of all visitors of mm-lab's stand.

Preventing deadly accidents on proving ground test tracks is the goal of every operator. Hence great attention was given to either listen to mm-lab's sales professionals explaining the system, trying out the simulation on a high speed track themselves or both.

Also latest developments such as integration of safety peripherals for emergency handling and mm-lab's PGMS App for Android LTE Smartphones and more were presented.

The ASAM presentation by T. Weichbrodt can be found here: CAVE_ASAM.

mm-lab jointly exhibited with its partners Airspan, Delta Components and white C:

  • Airspan provides High-Speed LTE network equipment for fast, reliable and secure private networks on Proving Grounds. Such networks are essential for safety critical systems such as CAVE.
  • Delta Components presents its Professional Automotive Computing equipment. A brand new PGMS On-Board Unit (OBU) has been jointly designed and developed by Delta Components and mm-lab and will be presented to the public on the Expo.
  • white-C supports mm-lab's CAVE and PGMS with its experience in the field of Reality Capturing. The driving simulator used for the CAVE live demonstration is based on white C technology. Laser scans of reality but also driver interaction, driving and traffic safety research results were also part of the presentation.
