Dr. Achim W. Schröter reports from the technical committee logistics of the Verein Kommunaler Unternehmen (VKU) für Abfallwirtschaft und Stadtreinigung (VKU) how only the consistent use of telematics in the vehicle can make the next quantum leap possible. Using as an example the company "Zweckverband für Abfallwirtschaft im Raum Trier" (A.R.T.), where a customized telematics solution of  mm-lab is successfully in use, Dr. Schröter explains the possibilities offered by such a professional system. Summarizing he valuates such a system as a "real improvement for dispatchers  and drivers alike, particularly for young professionals and unexperienced drivers. Carsten Nallinger, reporter of the magazine Trans Aktuell, describes in the edition 6th of May 2011, how the "Zweckverband für Abfallwirtschaft im Raum Trier" (A.R.T.) has managed to control and increase efficiency of its vehicle fleet by applying a customized telematics solution from mm-lab.


The member of parliament Stefan Bilger visited mm-lab on 05/03/2011. His particular interest was the use and the potential of telematics around the automobile. New chapter opened on Telematics for waste management companies 


Kornwestheim, August 20th 2010 – mm-lab GmbH based in Kornwestheim Germany has won the call for tender by the Joint Waste Management Authority in Trier (A.R.T.) to furnish their waste management vehicles with Telematics.

Beginning with October the vehicles as well as the back office of A.R.T. will be equipped with the new Telematics System of mm-lab. mm-lab won the selection process competently while succeeding over well-known and strong competition in the contest. Determining factors were the successful field trial performed by the customer as well as the impressive dedication with which mm-lab implemented the customer’s wishes. 


Kornwestheim, 01.04.2010 – "We hire for attitude and train for skills" is not only the slogan of the mm-lab Human Resource Management but it is daily practise. A proof of this philosophy was given today with three mm-lab employees receiving their certificates for the successful completion of the IPMA Project Management Level D training by a representative of Wolfram Ott & Partner GmbH (Hemmingen).
