As a joint municipal public-law institution (gkAöR) it is the task of the GfA Lüneburg with approximately 180 employees to perform waste disposal
for 180,000 inhabitants in the Hanseatic city and district of Lüneburg. It covers an area of approximately 1,400 km². The GFA Lüneburg operates a
composting plant, a green waste composting, mechanical biological treatment plant, a landfill and other facilities and recycling centers.

For the collection and transportation of waste, the GfA Lüneburg has now commissioned mm-lab to install a Telematics solution, which not only provides 28 refuse collection vehicles orders and tours from the already established planning system ATHOS NewLine via a bidirectional interface , but also supports drivers with photo documentation and integrated telephony, making everyday life much easier.

After an already completed project launch, we look forward together with the GfA Lüneburg to the launch phase and the start of its operations.

Stuttgart, 02/01/2019: Due to our recruitment search, our HR department was represented at the job fair for foreign skilled workers and trainees of the IHK (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) on 1st February 2019 in Stuttgart. There, our managing director Dr. Andreas Streit gave the Italian newspaper Ilsole 24 Ore an interview, in which he explained our need for good technical staff.

In the article of 10th February 2019 "Un freno dalla mancanza di lavoratori qualificati" and on its website, the business magazine reported about the event and about our search for skilled personnel:

https://stream24.ilsole24ore.com/video/mondo/in-cerca-programmatori/AB4FG0UB.

According to the IHK, 33 companies from a wide variety of industries and around 550 applicants came to the sixth job fair of this kind, to establish contacts. We hope that we will arouse great interest with our offer and receive suitable applications. As staffing becomes increasingly difficult, mm-lab also seeks qualified applicants internationally.

The job candidates do not need German language skills. But good English skills are required. We support our foreign-language employees with internal German language courses and we slowly encourage them to speak German, step by step.
